Bodywork
Equine Bodywork is an effective tension relieving and supportive modality for horses, particularly those who are working, in training, or competing in events. Alex Lewis uses Bodywork to help horses in a way that is personalized and tailored to each horse's unique needs.
Horses who are involved in demanding activities like endurance, dressage, jumping, or those in training, are particularly susceptible to developing body lameness, tension, and pain in their muscles or soft tissues. In fact, most horses have some level of discomfort in their bodies when ridden, and almost all competition horses have some level of lameness (just like people, no one is perfect!), whether its a grade 1 (barley visible and relieved by Bodywork), or a 6/7 and needs immediate relief in order to perform.. Alex uses her skills as an Equine Bodyworker to identify areas of pain and relieves tension in the body, helping horses to feel more comfortable and perform at their best.
The benefits of Equine Bodywork:
Reducing tension in muscle and soft tissue, improving circulation, flexibility, and range of motion.
Relieving pain and stiffness, making it easier for horses to move and perform at their best.
Helping to identify areas of soreness or imbalance before they lead to injury, which can prevent future health problems.
Accelerating the healing process after injuries or surgeries, helping horses recover more quickly and effectively.
Promoting relaxation and reducing stress, which can improve the overall well-being of horses.
Enhancing overall performance by improving physical condition, which can lead to better competition results.
Horses love when Alex puts her hands on them, and they enjoy every minute of their bodywork session.
